The head of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia, Peter Skandalakis, said he will replace Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in overseeing her election interference case against President Donald Trump and numerous co-defendants. Willis, a Democrat, was disqualified from the case over conflict of interest issues late last year and exhausted her appeals in September. Skandalakis, a Republican, was tasked with finding a replacement prosecutor, but said everyone he contacted declined the appointment. |
