NBC News spoke to 18 Donald Trump voters who participated in the most recent NBC News poll and said the president had not met their expectations on the economy. None regretted their vote for Trump last year, in many cases because of a deep frustration with Democrats.

A handful said they’d be open to voting for Democrats in the future, though most planned to keep voting Republican. And when it comes to the economy, many said the pain they’re feeling is real.
