A federal judge dismissed a Trump administration lawsuit against every federal judge in Maryland over a standing order that limits the government’s ability to quickly deport immigrants.

At issue was an order imposing a two-day stay of deportation in cases involving immigrants facing an imminent risk of removal. U.S. District Judge Thomas Cullen did not rule on the order itself but concluded that the administration would have to find another way to challenge it instead of taking the confrontational approach of suing the judges directly.
