President Donald Trump is removing Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook effective immediately, according to a letter he posted to Truth Social.

Trump cited a "criminal referral" alleging mortgage fraud from Federal Housing Authority Director William Pulte against Cook, the first Black woman to serve on the Federal Reserve Board.
