Walmart is preparing shoppers to pay more, potentially within weeks, as it maintains that tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump remain too high to avoid passing costs along to shoppers.

Tariff-related price hikes are likely to begin rolling out “towards the tail end of this month, and I certainly expect more in June,” Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey told CNBC.
