ISCB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTIONS 2024

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS

 

 

An electronic ballot was conducted by Electrobox on behalf of the Society. Of 1334 registered Society members, 340 (25.5%) voted in the elections. The ISCB Ballot Committee comprising Thomas Jaki (DE, Chair), Elaine Pascoe (AU, ExCom member), Maria Grazia Valsecchi (IT), Nadine Binder (DE), and Małgorzata Ćwiklińska-Jurkowska (PO) has confirmed the results in accordance with Article 15 of the ISCB Constitution.

 

The following votes were cast for the vacant Officer (Vice-President, Secretary) and Ordinary Member (3 x 3-year terms, 3 x 2-year terms) positions on the Executive Committee for 2025:

#First runner up for a 3-year term was offered and accepted the third vacancy for a 2-year term.

ISCB Executive Committee for 2025

 

The President will be Thomas Jaki (DE), who was elected Vice-President in 2022 and served in this position from 2023-2024. The Treasurer will be Chris Metcalfe (UK) who was elected to the position for a second two-year term in 2022, has served from 2021-2024, and agreed to serve an additional year to support the transition to the new terms of office. Three Ordinary Members elected in 2022 for a two-year term from 2023-2024 also agreed to serve an additional year to support the transition: Milada Hagen (NO), Nikos Pantazis (GR), and Kinga Salapa (PO).

 

As a consequence, the ISCB Executive Committee for 2025 will be as follows:
